    Switzerland invested millions of euros to develop bike routes through the whole country under the brand "Switzerland by bike". The beautiful bike routes are almost interally dedicated bike paths. We selected amongst the most incredible bike routes Switzerland has to offer, those with the best panorama, but also the easiest ones. Enjoy the sightseeing worth the travelling!

    Day 1

     

    Arrival in Constance

     
    Walk around the beautiful old medieval city of Constance or make the most of your first day by making a little trip to Mainau Island, the flower island.

    Day 2

     

    Constance – Schaffhausen

    You ride along the lake to leave Constanz and cross charming little fishermen villages on the swiss side of the lake. You reach Stein-am-Rhein where the houses are totally painted with frescoes. Then follow your way to Schaffhausen, a cute little town protected by the Munot fortress.

    Day 3

     

    Schaffhausen – Zurich

    You follow your itinerary through Neuhausen up to the Rhin falls, the largest falls in Europ. A boat brings you exactly under the water falls. later on you ride in the Glatt Valley to reach Zurich, international city.

    Day 4

     

    Zurich – Lachen

    Ride along the Zurich lake on the coast locally named "Côte d’or" (Golden coast) up to Rapperswil, the roses city, proud of its medieval castle. After crossing the lake on a dyke, on the other side you follow the banks up to the small town of Lachen.

    Day 5

     

    Lachen – Walenstadt

    You ride along the Linth canal which joins the Zurich lake to the Walenstadt lake up to Weesen. A ferry boat will bring you to Walenstadt. In the background stand the Churfirsten, a chaine of montains in the Pre-Alps.

    Day 6

     

    Walenstadt – Feldkirch

    You quickly enter the Rhin valley and cross the Lichtenstein. Don’t miss the numerous fortresses overlooking the valley. Feldkirch is already in Austria.

    Day 7

     

    Feldkirch – Saint-Gallen

    Keep on riding along the Rhin river,then catch a small montain train to reach Gais in Appenzell. Here is Heidi’s country, high mountain pastures and cows will be the countryside up to St Gallen. St Gall is one of the most renowned monastery in this part of Europ. The Abbey of St. Gall is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its library contains books which date back to the 9th century.

    Day 8

     

    Saint-Gallen – Constance

    You slowly ride back to Arbon on the lake. Your way back to Constance is enamelled with the cutest little swiss villages and through apple orchards.

    Day 9

     

    Departure from Constance

     
    After breakfast take a city tour before returning home or extend your stay.
