  • A biking week-end along the coast in Saint-Malo

    A long week-end to fully enjoy Saint-Malo and its hinterland. A 3-day cycling tour in Brittany to appreciate the outstanding landscapes around Saint-Malo, Saint-Malo walls or the coastal town of Dinard. Ride your bicycle to the “Pointe du Grouin”, to breathe clean sea air or to taste Cancale oysters.


    Activities : we have selected typical as well as unusual activities that you can book in option.

    Day 1

     

    Saint-Malo

     
    Enjoy your resting day to stroll in Saint-Malo and gaze at its corsairs mansions (the so-called “Malouinières”), its fortifications and its moored sailing boats.

    Suggested day trip : Cancale

    Ride through the verdant countryside little routes to the Breton emerald coast, where you will enjoy an amazing view onto the harbor of Cancale.
    Bike down to the harbor and order some of the famous local oysters. You ride back to Saint-Malo on the coastline road, along which you can take a few breaks on the small beaches scattered between "La Pointe du Grouin" and the corsair city.

    Suggested day trip : the Rance estuary

    Ride along the Rance estuary. Visit St-Suliac, one of the “Loveliest villages in France”, and enjoy the panoramic view over the Rance valley. Cross the Rance River over a small bridge and take the green path winding through the trees along an old railway until you reach Dinard. A boat ride between Dinard and Saint-Malo will allow you to gaze at the old corsair city from another perspective.

    Suggested day trip : a tour of Saint-Malo mansions

    Ride around Saint-Malo and take a tour of the “Malouinières”, these magnificent mansions built by corsairs when they decided to retire from their adventurous life in the quietness of the countryside.

    Suggested day trip : Saint-Briac-sur-mer

    Enjoy the view on Dinard while you cross the estuary by boat. Ride along the countryside and go past cows, sheeps and veals on your way to the famous vacation coastal city of Saint-Briac-sur-Mer. Ride along the emerald coast and admire the sea view until you reach Lancieux. Then, the route goes in the green through the fields back to Dinard.

  • Bikes


    On your arrival day, we provide you with :
    • a touring bike adjusted to your size or a tandem
    • equipped : front rack pack with an integrated file compartment, saddlebags, helmet (on demand), reflective vest, repairing toolkit with patches etc.

    We also provide you with the appropriate equipment for your children : baby seat, bike trailer or trailer bike depending on their age and size.

    Electric bikes are also available for adults for some trips. If available, the option is specified on the page "prices".

    Luggage


    Our services include luggage transport in order to let you enjoy your trip comfortably and without stress (optional for short trips) :
    • We transport your luggage from one accommodation to the next using a private vehicle.
    • Your luggage is directly delivered in your hotel room before you arrive.
    • We provide bicycle saddlebags for the things you shall need during the day.

    If your package doesn't include luggage transport,
    the bikes will be equipped with 2 waterproof saddlebags with 10 to 20L capacity each to carry your things.

    Our word of advice : as we know from experience, we strongly recommend you to avoid wearing a backpack during your cycling trip.

    To go on a bike trip is the best way to discover the regional and local culture.


    Activities and must-sees along your route are pinpointed by specific icons in our road book. These activities have also been listed in a leaflet presenting the practical information as well as some anecdotes.

    Our detailed travel documents allow you to ride freely, at your own pace.

    It contains :

    • A road book or daily sheets : detailed description of the route with maps highlighting the different points of interest.
    • A cultural and touristic leaflet : anecdotes, historical explanations, description and practical information about the different points of interest along the route.
