Brittany

In September 2024 we cycled in Brittany from Rennes to St Malo and on to Mont Saint Michel. Le Vélo Voyageur organized this self-guided trip including arranging accommodations, luggage transfer, e-bike rental and a GPS route finding app. The first part of the trip was riding alongside a picturesque canal and the latter part through the countryside or along the seaside. Le Vélo Voyageur did an excellent job of arranging everything and the ride itself was spectacular. Highly recommended.

The trip was well planned and the landscape was very nice for bicycle use. The provided bikes were outdated and its use challenging. I can really recommend the trip but would suggest the use of own bikes or to rent bikes locally, when your could check the them.

well organized - good selection of hotels in interesting towns along the way

It was such a wonderful trip. It was picturesque, meditative, slightly challenging and I got to experience the generous hospitality of Bretons (people of Brittany)!

We really enjoyed this trip and I would highly recommend it. The cycling was easy and interesting. The towns and villages we went through were stunning (very old) and there were lots of interesting places to explore along the way. The organisation of the trip was great and good information provided prior to leaving New Zealand. We had route information and maps printed out which was very helpful. The route was easy to follow.

Generally very good, a few minor improvement would make it excellent.

Malgré le vent contraire, la pluie abondante durant un jour, la découverte d'une région pittoresque de la Bretagne en 5 jours, loin du trafic routier nous a beaucoup stimulé. Le choix des itinéraires, des villes d'étapes, des hôtels nous a beaucoup plu. Nous étions partout les bienvenus, les réservations (tables, transfer bâteaux) correspondaient au plan que nous avions reçu. Un grand MERCI pour l'organisation impeccable et le bon état des vélos mis à dispositions.

We would highly recommend Le Velo Voyageur for any of our Canadian friends who would enjoy a perfectly planned France cycling vacation.

The route was beautiful, the scenery of the land in combination with the sea was great. We really enjoyed the variation between cycling days and rest days. On the second day we had a puncture, but Le Vélo Voyageur were very quick to respond and arrange for the tire to be changed at a local bike shop.

A nice trip in Southern Bretagne. Specially the journey to Belle Ile and the two days on this beautiful island is a highlight.

Thank you for an excellent bike trip! The route was beautiful and varied, the hotels were all good (we especially loved the Hotel Quic en Groigne in St Malo) and the bikes worked well with no problems at all. It was a wonderful week.

We were very happy with the whole experience. Vélo Voyager were excellent, the accommodation was lovely and we were entirely satisfied. The cycling was not too arduous which was ideal for my partner who was a cycling novice. Thoroughly recommended.

Eine wunderschöne Tour. Alles war von den Veranstalterinnen bestens vorbereitet und hat prima geklappt. Vor allem die Hotels in Quiberon und Le Palais waren sehr schön und das Essen dort war sehr gut. Wir fanden es sehr angenehm, nicht jeden Tag das Hotel wechseln zu müssen.

An excellent route to choose if you are an occasional cyclist, not too hard but you know that you have been cycling. The organisation and accommodation are excellent, and I have no hesitation in recommending to others.

We spent 7 days biking around Brittany France and added a few days traveling by ferry out to the island of Sark. We couldn't have been happier with our experience with Le Velo Voyageur. Communication with Sarah was excellent from our initial questions about their various trips, to accommodating our request to visit Sark, to providing information on the trip. The hotels were good and it was a treat to find our luggage waiting in our rooms at the end of each day. The maps and directions Le Velo provided were accurate and easy to follow, we didn't need or use GPS. The route was outstanding, it followed canals and bike green ways the majority of the way and there were very few cars. Thank you Le Velo Voyageur for one of the best vacations we have ever had, we will see you again :)

Velo Voyageur provided a wonderful itinerary, communication was prompt and clear, our hotels were excellent and baggage was delivered on time each day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cycle tour of Brittany. We really enjoyed the hotels - the quality and location were much better than we expected. The cycle route was excellent, very little time spent on busy roads. Lots of interesting places to visit. Organisation of the trip was excellent. When our information package didn't arrive due to a mail strike, a solution was quickly found.

Great to discover Bretagne this way, and perfect climate during summer, avoiding the warmest part of France. Charming small villages, never heard of before, are now part of our memories for the summer of 2015. Dinan a perfect ´match´ after a long warm day. Wish another trip to be made for Normandie!
