Normandy Coast

Beautiful ride using Euro Velo 4 routes including quiet roads and dedicated bike paths. As Canadians, we substituted an out and back to Juno Beach on the first day. We recommend adding Juno as an option.

If you are interested in visiting the D-Day sites, this trip is marvelous. There are also many pastoral rural roads.

This was a a beautiful and thoughtful itinerary through many fascinating and varied towns and landscapes. The bike was great and hotels were comfortable and simple with local charm.

This trip was thoughtfully planned by Velo Voyageur. Their staff promptly replied to my questions and provided excellent advice. Their emergency assistance service provided outstanding support. Knowing they were there and truly interested in my wellbeing made the trip feel that much safer. My full gravel bike was high-grade, and the owner of the LocVelo bike shop, Justin, clearly understands customer service and the value of a quality bike. Luggage forwarding was flawless and made the trip very easy. It was excellent- really well designed- equipment was fabulous- great for a family with older kids. We made a last minute to change to the bike requested and it was all sorted within a few hours. Bayeux was beautiful and easy to get to from Paris. The route itself was stunning and had just enough challenges- the locations visited were just the right level of quantity we needed travelling with teenagers. Will book another tour in the future.

Our hosts were all lovely, accommodation was clean and well located, and the route was easy to follow and took in all of the beautiful scenery and key historic landmarks. The 4 days that we spent cycling through the area around the Normandy Beaches will stay with me forever. It's a thought provoking and emotional journey that is a must for anyone interested in WW2 history.

I enjoyed the trip very much! Beautiful scenery, from picturesque countrysides and golden hay fields to quaint fishing villages/harbors and beaches. Most of the time very quiet paved bike paths.
