« Gorgeous Dordogne! »
Just back from a fantastic trip in the Vezere and Dordogne Valleys. We opted for the 8 day trip with the rest day in Les Eyzies. The trip was rated challenging, but the electric bikes made it a breeze. Luggage transfer was seamless. The scenery is gorgeous, whether on bike or in canoe.

Our 10 day experience with Le Velo Voyaguer through the Dordogne region was FANTASTIC!!! The route through this beautiful region of France was wonderful and so picturesque. The GPS app was complete and excellent giving us turn by turn instructions, places of interest, food stops, etc. The hybrid and electric bicycles, our communications while planning the trip with LVV and most of the places we stayed were all very good. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a great self-guided experience! We only wish that your company had tours in Italy!

If you want to go on bike trip where you don't have to carry all your belongings with you but you also don't want to ride in a group or have a guide, this company is for you. They offer a terrific APP which guides and follows you like Google Maps but better, more perfect and exact. They arrange for your bags to picked up at your hotel and moved to your next destination. They will plan and reserve all your hotels for you as well. There is good back-up by phone if you have an issue. However, do not expect personal contact. We have now done 3 trips with Velo Voyageur and hope to go again.

The route was excellent. We enjoyed the beautiful villages, quiet roads, and lovely scenery. The hotels were good (other than the Hotel St Albert in Sarlat) and the luggage transfer worked well. Our party of eight older cyclists upgraded to e-bikes and were happy with the choice. There were some significant hills on the route.

We have just returned from 2 cycle trips with Vélo Voyageur and loved them both. These were the Best of Dordogne and Quiberon and South Brittany trips. Everything was so well organised from the itinerary, choice of accommodation, luggage transfers and navigation app information. We highly recommend Vélo Voyageur and everything worked seamlessly, and at a great price point. We will definitely return for another trip!

It was a great trip! Loved having the printed guide with text about the places we passed. We learned quite a bit. Most days had plenty of places to chose from when we wanted a couple of stops. Such a nice place to cycle! Also the canoe trip was fun. So many castles to see, even if stopping to visit any of them was a bit too challenging for us.

Le Velo Voyager is a hidden gem. We've bicycle toured extensively in Germany, Austria, Holland, and Italy, but this was our first in France. The support and services we've received from Le Volo Voyager is by far the best. Their app is steps ahead of those offered by other companies and even lists bakeries, supermarkets, and attractions. When navigating, a picture of the junction pops up with a directional arrow! Their routing led us to at least two interesting sites along the way and the route was all on paved bike routes or country roads with very little traffic. We knew that Dordogne was very hilly and rented an electric bike for the first time. They aren't like scooters so can't go on their own. We only used the motor assistance on steep hills which was nice. But, it was still an effort. We did the "Best of Dordogne" and passed through many picturesque villages and towns. The canoe trip was relaxing and provided a good break. Lescaux cave paintings and Josephine Baker's chateau were some of the highlights. Lodging and food was great. Chloe provided great service in fluent English and even arranged for us to pick up bulky medical supplies from a local pharmacy upon arrival in France. If you want to see picturesque French villages and taste French cuisine while working up a sweat, this is the trip. We toured with five other friends, and we were unanimous in praise for this trip and the service provided by Le Velo Voyager.

Velo Voyageur organized a fantastic 10 day bicycle trip for us from Bordeaux to Sarlat. Each of the days the routes were designed to minimize car traffic and to pass by lots of wonderful sites, villages and cafes. The service from arranging the lodging, to providing the bikes (electric in our case) and moving the luggage was top notch. The people at Velo Voyageur would respond quickly to any and all requests that we made before, during and even after the trip. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure; we saw great countryside and chateaus, drank wonderful wine, ate fantastic food and explored wonderful villages.

A really great week's cycling trip. Good distances and the sections varied as went from the vineyards to the more mountainous terrain of the Dordogne and Vizere valleys. Great to end with a kayaking trip down the Dordogne. Stunning scenery and excellent routes, much of which was on dedicated cycle paths.
