We just completed the most enjoyable trip from Montelimar to Avignon. We will definately be back again for another trip. The organization of the trip was 5* Our luggage had always arrived prior to our arrival at the next stop. Velo Voyageur support prior and during the trip was exceptional.

We just finished an unforgettable week pedaling along the Rhône as well as through fields and vineyards. The accommodations, the bike rental as well as the luggage transport was all taken care of. All we had to do was sit on the bike and enjoy incredible scenery, villages, museums and landmarks along the way as we biked our way south.

Another generally very good trip although not as scenic as others we have done with LVV. Step 6 is a bad day scenically & quality of the path.

Another great trip with Vélo Voyageur. The bikes were very well equipped and the hotels were all in great locations with friendly staff. We were a large group of 12 and all the organisation went very smoothly. The app with the route worked very well and was 100% accurate, with helpful photos and audio at junctions. The route itself was well planned out, generally following the Via Rhona but with small detours if better options were available. We were on dedicated bike paths or small roads and hardly saw a car in the 3 days. A great success!

We were a couple + 2 kids. Everything went smoothly - hotels, bikes, luggage transfer, app. We had a fun trip. Looking forward to our next one.

We cycled with a family party including 2 kids of 10 and 11 and a grandmother of 77 (!). It was a great route alone the Rhone, backwards and forwards across some beautiful bridges. We enjoyed great hotels in nice towns and lovely dinners during the holiday. We cycled almost only on dedicated cycle paths which was fantastic for the kids. All in all a great experience.

This trip exceeded all our expectations, from the spectacular scenery in the shadow of the Jura mountains, and more distant Alps, the turquoise blue waters of the Rhone, passing through idyllic French countryside along farm tracks and dirt roads, visiting charming villages for cooling beers, never being on roads busy with traffic for more than a km or two, cycling without any bags but then every afternoon finding our luggage sitting waiting for us at our next hotel, and each hotel having it's unique appeal and character. Do yourself a favour and and book this trip!

This 6 day cycle from Geneva to Lyon, mostly following La Via Rhona, is a fantastic trip along side the torquoise blue waters of the Rhone, under the shadow of the Jura mountains and more distant higher Alpine peaks. (We enjoyed looking up at the mountains, but the route is perfectly planned to avoid any strenuous climbing) You cycle back roads through rural farmland and most of the route is practically traffic free. There are some very short sections on busier roads for a km or 2, but if you are a regular cyclist you probably wouldn't even give these sections a second thought. It is worth planning where you might want to have a lunch break the following day, and ensure any restaurant is open, many places seemed to close at 12noon, then open later in the day again. Of course packing a little cheese, bread and wine picnic is always a good back-up plan. The suggested timings for each route section on the app seem very accurate and allow for many photo opportunity stops and a very leisurely cycling pace, afterall you are on holidays!

We used hire electric bikes and the distances each day very managable with the side trips. The GPS was excellent and did take you off the Via Rhona to quieter roads.

This was our first time going on a 4-day cycle holiday. Thanks to the staff of Velo Voyager we had a great time; the arrangements were spot on and the baggage arrangements/hotels were exactly what we wanted. Everything worked well! Thanks team!!

Our four-day loop through the Savoie foothills and along the Via Rhona was just what we hoped it would be. Easy to moderate biking, mostly on quiet country roads and bicycle trails. (There was one unavoidable highway stretch through a gorge, but the drivers were generally considerate.) The bikes (hybrids) were in great condition, the hotels comfortable and the scenery wonderful. The logistics for bike delivery and baggage transfer went smoothly. Highlights included the Tunnel du Chat (bike/pedetrian tunnel through a high ridge), the loop visiting the marsh lands and a local wine producer (which we did as a full day trip), and wandering around the small town of Chanaz. Highly recommended if you'd like a trip without too many other tourists!

An enjoyable well organised ride mostly along the Rhône or related canals and some lovely quiet country roads, especially from Orange to Avignon. It gives a sense of Provence with a couple of charming towns and leaves you wanting more! B level accommodations were wonderful, generally conveniently and centrally located, and staff were friendly and helpful. Luggage transfers had no problems. Bikes were in good working order. The navigation app is excellent once you master its quirks. I turned up the volume and just used the audio and that was fine. Despite a very last minute booking, the staff handled it wonderfully and communicated well (and promptly!) both by phone and email. Our second trip with them and third on the way (first was Loire a few years ago, next is more of Provence!). Value for money is also good compared with some other companies we checked. Many seem to have lower prices but then charge extra for bikes and luggage, for example. Highly recommended.

Our group was extremely satisfied with the trip. This is the first time our group has taken such a trip. Everything went amazing well. The app worked great to guide us. This is such a great way to experience another country.

This was our first European Bike Trip. It exceeded our expectations. The choice of hotels, food suggestions and overall support from Velo Voyageur were excellent. I look forward to another trip with Velo Voyageur.

We had a great trip

4 days on the ViaRhona was just perfect for our family. Easy to follow and ride mostly off road route with our 8 and 11 year old. Amazing hotels and restaurants along the way - we received a really warm welcome wherever we stopped. The towns we stayed in were beautiful and interesting, especially Vienne. Really well organised and can highly recommend the trip and Velo Voyager.

The perfect way to see rural France on a bike. Stress-free and well organised. Great bikes delivered to the first hotel as promised, good accommodation en route and all the back-up you could need. Even the bike supplier was available immediately on the phone to answer a query on a Sunday afternoon.

We had a great time. The bikes were easy to operate; the app was fantastic; the hotels and breakfasts charming. Velo Voyageur's service was outstanding. Five stars for Velo Voyageur.

This was our first biking trip ever. We are in our mid-60s and we had a great time. The route along the Rhone was quite beautiful especially on the first day. The app was helpful and included spots of note along the way. This was like a separate vacation within a vacation. So much fun to see these sights up close and not from a car window. There was so much to see, smell and hear. Le Mistral followed us the first day encouraging us to keep going and birds sang songs all along the way like a crowd cheering us on. What a lovely way to see France.

All four of us liked the bikes (good quality and comfortable equipped with panniers) and this was important. Customer service is very good and responsive. But everything else was such a mixed bag of good and bad. The app needs a lot of work (and beware, it disappears before you can write a review so you have to rely on memory). Not easy to use or useful except for route finding but even then we got lost (and we are experienced.) (Other companies have little stickers on poles that you can follow we noticed.) The additional information on the app was useless as it wasn't by location. The hotels were not ones we would ever stay at again as they were all just okay, though all the proprietors were friendly and used to cyclists, and storing bikes and luggage. The hotels were generally weird in some way--some had awful bathrooms but okay beds, some pillows like bricks but lots of space. Breakfasts were mixed. Better off going out to find a cafe; it is France after all. It was a great to be cycling through vineyards on flat paths with friends in springtime, then enjoying an evening in a town in Southern France, eating excellent food for good prices, but the company could make a few improvements.

Most aspects (accommodations, bike rental, luggage transfer) were satisfactory, but the route was very frustrating - commonly taking me through construction requiring detours. The app was not intuitive but OK. Furthermore, the distances assigned the first day was not comfortable for a sometimes/rare bike rider despite the "easy" rating. It did not allow me to enjoy the sights, historical aspects, etc as much as I wished because my legs were so tired, my bottom bruised, and mind wanting to get to my accommodation for a soak in a tub. Also, for the route - not every unclear intersection has an instruction associated with it, necessitating me to get off my bike to look more closely at the app map. I don't think this was the best value for money either for a solo traveler. However, most packages are not good in this aspect. Overall, this was OK.

From Roman Theatres to Nuclear power stations the Rhone has it all.

The trip from Montelimar to Avignon was organized to perfection. The rental bikes were of excellent quality, with good paniers and a repair kit with spare tube.The hotels were great, with nice hosts and excellent breakfast. The route is easy, only one or two hilly bits around Chateauneuf du Pape. All in all an experience we really hope to repeat next year.

The Vélo Voyageur made our dream of riding bikes with small children not only possible but also a truly happy experience! The partners along the route took special care of us, thanks to their great appreciation of the Vélo Voyageur. The practical details are really amazing: accomodation was always just along the biking route, near the railway station at the beginning & end of the trip, so everything went smooth and we could enjoy the trip fully. All this just after the lockdown in France, so doubly appreciated :) A great customer experience before & during the trip

The ViaRhona route was well-thought out and the accomodations were very adequate.

This was our first multi-day bike trip with our 22 month baby. The experience was great and we will repeat again in the future. The trip (vienne-valence) is very well adapted and the hotels in which we stayed were so nice and charming. We recommend this experience to all families.
