Vendée is a top destination for a family cycling holiday in France, the routes being generally fairly flat, though it is advised to plan reasonably short stages. Going on a self-guided cycling tour in Vendée is the easiest way to experience the highlights of the region, taste the oysters at the producers’ huts, swim on never ending sandy beaches or visit sites like the house of Georges Clémenceau. Many cultural events and water sport competitions are taking place which add to the attractiveness of the destination.
