You will also cross many wineries and sunny villages where you are tempt to linger, relax over a local rosé wine, fresh goat cheese, honey, olives, tapenade and sun-dried tomatoes.

    Day 1

Enjoy Orange and its charming lively streets. The ocher hues of the city will immerse you immediately into the Provence atmosphere. Do not miss a visit to the very well preserved antique theater.

    Day 2

    Orange - Suze-la-Rousse

As soon as you leave Orange, you ride on a plain lined with vineyards with the Mont Ventoux in the background. From village to village, you cross the garigue before reaching the University of Wine located in the castle of Suze-la-Rousse.

    Day 3

    Suze-la-Rousse - Nyons

You leave Suze-la-Rousse and ride through the vineyards until reaching Venterol, a beautiful village overlooking the valley of the Eygues. Then, you ride gently down through the olive trees to Nyons, famous for its Provencal know-how (olive oil, lavender, soaps, scourtins, etc.).

    Day 4

    Nyons - Séguret

Shortly after leaving Nyons, when passing over the river Eygues, enjoy the beautiful view of the old town. You will then ride up the olive groves and admire the magnificent panorama over the valley. After the village of Mirabel aux Baronnies, the circuit winds through vineyards surrounded by mountains up to Vaison la Romaine. After visiting the Roman ruins, continue to the village of Séguret, ranked "most beautiful villages in France".

    First Solo Bicycle Trip

    On the 2024-06-19 by Heather
I loved my first solo bicycle trip! Le Velo Voyager provided what I wanted- the flexibility to go at my own pace, taking photos of lavender fields, flowers, and grape vineyards as well as exploring castles along the way! I was so lucky to have this group arrange this route off the beaten path. I felt like I got to see an authentic French countryside and would have never found these things without the Velo app. Thank you! I didn't even see other bicyclists on my path until day 4! The accomodations were great and I appreciated that they made all of these arrangements! I felt very blessed.

    A memorable cycling experience

On the 2023-07-13 by A family of 3 Aussies
Our cycling adventure around Provence was a memorable experience for our party of 3. Everything was exactly as we expected. The app was excellent, the routes were beautiful, our accommodation was great, and the luggage transfer worked as planned. We couldn’t be happier. This was a memorable experience for our family!!

    Excellent program and service

A fantastic itinerary with excellent hotels and managers, who made everything worthwhile. We really enjoyed the Velo App which was precise. We had cause to telephone the Velo Voyageur team only once and our query was dealt with immediately (early on a Saturday). Would strongly recommend this company and this cycling itinerary is perfect for leisure riders with an interest in lavender, vines and beautiful towns.

une autre façon de découvrir la Provence

On the 2016-08-19 by Nathalie Burteaux

Could have been so much better

Poor bikes and ambiguous and mistake-riddled directions detracted from the enjoyment of the tour.

    Not too pleased

On the 2015-06-30 by Not too pleased
Expensive, not a great bike, poor directions, no alternatives or notification given for strong winds. Disappointing trip although the accommodations were quite nice.

Merci !
