You cycle through vineyards and discover historical monuments such as Château Vougeot, the castle of Rully or typical wine villages. You stop for the night in Beaune: do not miss the visit of its hospices and stroll into its paved roads.

Day 01
Chalon – Beaune

You leave Chalon-sur-Saône to drive on the peaceful towpath of the Canal du Centre. A detour to see the castle of Rully is possible (+6kms). You will effortlessly reach Chagny, then Santenay, gateway to the Côte de Beaune vineyards. The cycle route of the Voie des Vignes (Vineyard Way) then undulates from village to village on small roads in the heart of the vineyards. You will stop in Meursault, known for its castle and for having been one of the filming locations of the movie "La Grand Vadrouille", then you will reach the magnificent city of Beaune with its hospices.

Beaune – Dijon

After leaving Beaune, you quickly return to the vineyards and discover the Côte de Nuits and its century-old traditions. Your itinerary leads you to the doors of the Clos Vougeot castle, a highly symbolic place founded by the monks of the Cîteaux Abbey. The visit will enlighten you on the architecture of the place but also on the rites of the brotherhood of the Knights of Tastevin. You continue to Dijon, former capital of the powerful Dukes of Burgundy. This lively city welcomes you warmly in its remarkably preserved pedestrian center.

Your first day is a cycling stage. Your bikes will be available from 9:00am. If you have chosen the luggage transport option, you must drop them off at the drop off point before 9:00am.
