10 days on bike to discover the wonders of Sardinia

Arrival in Arbus by private transfer from Cagliari. Installation at the hotel.

Visit Arbus and its knife museum. He holds the heaviest knife in the world! You then drive to discover the most beautiful landscapes of the “Costa Verde”. You will be amazed by the wild character of this coast as well as the sand dunes of the beach called “Piscinas”.

These dunes measure more than 50m and are among the highest in Europe.

The road takes you to the old mines of Sardinia. After this visit, discover a beach with golden sand called Portixeddu as well as the impressive cliff of the “sugar plane”. In Nebida, you can visit the old wash house.

This morning, after a nice descent by bike to Fontanamare, take the ferry and embark for Carloforte, an island with turquoise waters and magnificent beaches (ferry tickets are your responsibility). There you discover a fishing village where bluefin tuna is still fished today. From Carloforte, continue cycling to the island of Sant’Antioco to discover its pretty, colorful village and end your day in Calasetta.

You leave Calasetta and set off on an adventure across the Sant’Antioco plain, green in spring and golden in autumn. In Tratalias, you can visit the Pisan sanctuary, one of the most important monuments of the Romanesque era in Sardinia. Continue your journey, enjoying the country roads of the Plaine des Sulcis.

This day, you can go to Porto Pino to enjoy the beach or observe flamingos and birds of all kinds. You can also walk to the village of Santadi to taste the best wines of Sardinia.

Cycle along the Mediterranean coast and enjoy a superb panorama of the most beautiful beaches of Sardinia. On your route, imposing cliffs such as Cape Malfatano and Cape Spartivento will loom on the horizon. Then pass through Chia and relax on its beaches with turquoise waters. Continue your route along the coast to reach Pula and finish the day's stage.

Take your bike to reach the Nora archaeological area. Visit the ancient Phoenician-turned-Roman city. A visit not to be missed with breathtaking views of the sea and the coast. End your day in the central square of Pula, to taste its specialty: Mirto!
