Day-trips around Colmar
Cycle for a weekend in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards. Discover Colmar by bike but also the charming wine-growing villages in the surroundings with two great day-trips. You cycle through the vineyards and stop in the most beautiful villages of Alsace: Ribeauvillé, Hunawhir, Riquewhir, Kaysersberg, Eguisheim, Turckheim... Then, you will enjoy your evening strolling through the cobbled streets, along the romantic canals and the flowered half-timbered houses of Colmar. Do not miss the chance to taste the local specialties and Alsace wines for which the region is famous! This 2-day trip gives you a great overview of Alsace by bike.

You leave Colmar to reach the shady banks of the Thur. Then, continue pedaling in the Alsatian countryside to Eguisheim, classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France and awarded many times for the quality of its flowering. Admire its beautiful and colorful 16th century houses and stroll through its cobbled streets. Continue through the vineyards to the pretty village of Turckheim where a night watchman continues to make his rounds every evening from May to October. You can stop in Ammerschwihr to taste a glass of Kaefferkopf, the last white wine to join the great Alsace wines, before returning to Colmar.

You leave Colmar and cycle through the agricultural plain to Guémar. Once you arrive at the foot of the Alsatian vineyards, take a little height to discover the most beautiful villages of Alsace: Ribeauvillé and its picturesque districts, Riquewihr, the "Pearl of the Alsatian vineyard", and Hunawihr, both classified among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France". Don't miss the detour to Kaysersberg, one of the most charming towns in Alsace with its castle, its cobbled streets and its beautiful half-timbered houses. Finally, go back down through the vineyards and apple orchards to Colmar.

Your first day is a cycling stage. Your bikes will be available from 10:00am at your accommodation of the night in Colmar. You can drop your luggage off at the reception desk.
