Today is a short stage which allows you to discover Bordeaux before leaving.
You leave the dynamic city of Bordeaux along the banks of the Garonne and then cycling through Bordeaux residential areas before reaching the Bordeaux-Lacanau bike path which is flat and well-paved. End the day with a refreshing swim in the hotel pool.

Cap-Ferret will offer you a stunning view at the end of the day on the Pilat dune, the largest dune in Europe. Take the ferry to Arcachon and admire the bay from a maritime perspective.

You leave Arcachon with a distant view of the Dune du Pilat, which you leave on your right hand side. You cross a beautiful pine forest on a small hilly country road until you reach the immense lagoon of Cazaux, which will surprise you by its size. You come back to Arcachon by taking a cycle track. The return is very flat.

Start of the trip
Your first day is a cycling stage. Your bikes will be available from 9.30 a.m. at the bicycle rental agency. If you have chosen the luggage transport option, you must drop them off at the rental agency before 9.30 a.m. Please take this into account when planning your holiday.
To get to the departure point
By plane: flight to Bordeaux-Mérignac and then a shuttle to the city center.

Car park
If you drive to Bordeaux, you can park your car in a secured car park located in the city center, close to the bicycle rental agency and the train station. This parking is secured and open from 5 to 1 a.m. It is accessbile for vehicules up to 1m90 high. To find a parking spot : https://www.parkopedia.com
To return to the starting point
Train: Regional trains take you back to your starting point if you wish. They are accessible without booking in advance and bicycles are free (if you are traveling with your own bicycles).
