Day 01
Brussels – Mechelen

You are leaving Brussels for Mechelen. Before leaving the city, you pass in front of the Atomium, which you can visit. Then the canal takes you towards Vilvoorde and then small country roads towards Hofstade, where you will find another canal which takes you to Mechelen.

 
Day 02
Mechelen – Leuven

You have plenty of time to visit the town of Mechelen before hitting the road. You cycle along the canal on an comfortable towpath. Leuven is known not only for its universities, but also for its many breweries. One of the largest breweries in the world is located in Leuven : Stella Artois. Leuven is said to have the longest bar in the world, the "Oude Markt" (Old Market) is where students party, especially on Thursday evenings. But Leuven has a lot to offer you. The city center with its medieval buildings, the M museum, the beguignage...

 
Day 03
Leuven – Brussels

After breakfast, you leave for Brussels. The stage takes you along country roads. After a short time, you will find yourself in the Tervuren Park, with its Africa museum. The 2nd part of your stage crosses a magnificent setting: one of the oldest forests in Belgium, the Soignes forest. A surprising place a few kilometers from downtown Brussels. The stage is slightly hilly. You enter the city safely on a traffic-free boulevard, the realm of soft road users. Discover the charming capital of Belgium and Europe. Stroll through the small historic streets and Jugendstil-style galleries. Admire the Art Nouveau houses. Sit in the shade of the Grand Place to sip a cold beer, admire the city's landmark Manneken Pis, or stroll through the European Quarter. You can add a night to your stay or you go to other places.

    Start of the trip
     

    Your first day is a cycling stage. Your bikes will be available from 10 a.m. at the bicycle rental agency. If you have chosen the luggage transport option, you must drop them off at the agency at 10 a.m. Please take this in consideration when planning your holiday.

    To get to the departure point

    By plane: Flights to Brussels-Zaventem and then the train to the city center (18 minutes) or flights to Charleroi and then a shuttle (€€) to the city (1 hour approx.).

     

    By train: Direct trains from London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, etc. travel to Brussels. To plan your trip: https://www.thetrainline.com

    Car park

    If you come by car, you can park your vehicle in Brussels for the duration of your stay in a city car park (€€€). Street parking is very limited and also limited in time. Brussels is a Low Emission Zone, you must register your vehicle BEFORE traveling on this website: https://lez.brussels/mytax/en/registration. Tariffs depend on your vehicle.

    To return to the starting point

    You arrive back at the starting point (Brussels) on your bicycle. If you have chosen the luggage transfer option, please take in consideration that your luggage will be delivered at the drop off point at 4 p.m. at the earliest. Take this in account when planning your holiday.
