Loop around Munich
This bike tour in the heart of Bavaria is sure to satisfy nature and tradition lovers. Pedal through the heart of “Blue Country”, the name given to this beautiful region for the clarity of its lake waters. You'll pass through flower-filled Bavarian villages nestled in valleys at the foot of Alpine mountains.
The first pedal strokes take you to the shores of Lake Starnberg and Lake Seehaupt, and throughout this week of cycling in Bavaria you'll discover breathtaking scenery of mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers.
Program
Arriving in the bavarian capital and beer's capital, you can explore the city center, including Marienplatz and numerous gardens and parks.
Take the time to sit out on a terrace and sample typical Bavarian dishes, or in one of the famous Biergaten.

You leave Munich on a secondary road for around ten kilometers, before reaching Starnberg and its lake. You pedal along the lakeshore and the edge of the forest, passing through small Bavarian villages with traditional flower-filled houses and country roads, before arriving in the charming village of Murnau, where you'll spend the night.

The day begins with a ride through the Murnauer Moos nature reserve. Then pedal along small country roads to Garmisch Partenkirchen, a family-friendly ski resort that hosted the Winter Olympics in 1936, where you'll find charming cobbled streets, typical restaurants, souvenir stores and biergarten.

You take the cycle path out of Garmish and cross the valley to reach your stage town for the day (20km).If you wish, you can make a detour via Mittenwald and Scharnitz to the source of the Isaar, extending the route by 50km.On arrival, you pedal along the cycle path in the heart of the countryside with the Bavarian mountains behind you.

You leave Wallgau and pedal along mountain roads along the Isaar, admiring the turquoise waters of Lake Sylvenstein all the way. You stop in Fall to enjoy a typical Bavarian breakfast of white sausage (Weisswurst) with mustard sauce and a warm bretzel, then pedal off with a breathtaking view of the lake before taking the bike path through the forest to the banks of the Isaar. You arrive at your destination for the day: Bad Tolz, with its cobbled streets and colorful houses.

You can leave Munich after breakfast or extend your stay as you wish.

Beginning of the trip
As the first day is a non-biking day, you’ll arrive at your leisure, depending on your route. Please note that rooms are usually available by mid-afternoon, depending on your accommodation. Please let the accommodation know if you are arriving late.
A welcome briefing and bike fitting will take place at your hotel the evening of your arrival (depending on your arrival time), or the morning of your first day cycling.
