A cycling holiday on one of the most beautiful cycling routes in France going from Bordeaux to the Atlantic Coast through the fragrant forests of pine trees and along the beautiful sandy dunes.
Visit Bordeaux, Unesco World Heritage city, and discover the rich coast of “Les Landes” attractive in many ways: nature, sea sports (surf, kite-surf…) and delicious oysters.
Oyster-farming is one of Arcachon specialities, so take a seat in front of the bay and enjoy the oysters with a glass of white wine. The city of Arcachon in itself is worth the trip.

The old city center of Bordeaux is a pedestrian area and ideal for a walk.
Discover the quays of the Garonne, the medieval streets and the magnificent white stone buildings. Take some time to stroll through the streets, admire the Quinconces and Comédie squares, climb the Pey Berland tower or visit the Aquitaine museum.

Today is a short stage which allows you to discover Bordeaux before leaving.
You leave the dynamic city of Bordeaux along the banks of the Garonne and then cycling through Bordeaux residential areas before reaching the Bordeaux-Lacanau bike path which is flat and well-paved. End the day with a refreshing swim in the hotel pool.
Today is a perfect bike riding day as you follow the cycling path to the Atlantic Ocean. Along the way you’ll pedal through a cool, pine forest until you reach Lacanau. This popular seaside resort offers long, sandy beaches, plus a chance to go surfing. Do not hesitate to take a dip in the ocean before heading to your hotel!

Cycle along the coast on the Landes bicycle path. You can stop as many times as you like to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean and the beaches. Cap-Ferret will offer you a stunning view at the end of the day on the Pilat dune, the largest dune in Europe. Take the ferry to Arcachon and admire the bay from a maritime perspective.

Meet the oyster farmers in Gujan Mestras and taste oysters fresh from the lagoon.
The Leyre delta is a nature reserve where you can observe many species of birds at the ornithological park of Le Teich. Learn more about the local fauna and flora. You can also choose to canoe down this charming river, the Leyre.

Cycle along the coast and the dunes, enjoy the sea and the iodized air. Admire the panorama from the dune of Pilat, the highest dune of Europe.
After breakfast, enjoy Arcachon one last time before heading back home.

Car park
You can park in a secure car park in Bordeaux (€€€). We advise to park in Arcachon in the surrounding streets near the Place de Verdun, very safe because the police station is located around the corner, and then take the train to Bordeaux.
